About the role#
The Public Policy Intern will support the Public Policy team by addressing policy issues across federal, state, and local levels. This role focuses on aligning business priorities with public policy goals throughout the Americas. This is a paid, part-time position requiring 20 to 29 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Help develop the company position on policy issues.
- Conduct research on relevant policy matters.
- Interact with trade associations.
- Represent the company at meetings and events.
- Assess government activities of importance to the company.
- Anticipate potential government actions and develop mitigation or enhancement strategies for advocacy and outreach programs.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in a field such as Political Science, Public Health, Communications, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Professional work or internship experience in public policy and government relations.
- Demonstrated interest in public policy and government relations work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
