Public Policy Intern

About the role#

The Public Policy Intern will support the Public Policy team by addressing policy issues across federal, state, and local levels in the Americas. This role focuses on aligning business priorities with public policy goals and requires an individual to anticipate government actions while developing advocacy strategies.

What you'll do#

• Help develop the company's position on various policy issues.
• Conduct research on relevant policy matters.
• Interact with trade associations.
• Represent the company at meetings and events.
• Assess government activities of importance to the business.
• Anticipate government actions and develop mitigation or enhancement strategies for advocacy efforts.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in a relevant field, such as Political Science, Public Health, Communications, Business Administration, or Economics.
• Previous work or internship experience in public policy and government relations.
• Demonstrated interest in public policy and government relations work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize technical aspects of corporate operations within legislative proposals.

• Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States.
• Term: Fall 2026 through Winter 2027 (September 2026 – May 2027).
• Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Part-time (20-29 hours per week).
• Compensation: This is a paid position.
