About the role#
As a Product Design intern for the US Government team, you will take on responsibilities similar to a full-time designer. You will work on product teams with minimal supervision and own the end-to-end execution of real product features. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to refine and evolve the quality of our software.
What you'll do#
- Define early product concepts and execute visual design at every stage of the process.
- Conduct informal user research by pairing qualitative methods, such as usability tests and contextual inquiry, with quantitative product usage metrics.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to prototype and build products.
- Create flexible, reusable UI components to ensure UX consistency.
- Utilize tools like Figma to design micro-interactions and high-level workflows.
What you'll need#
- Active US Security clearance or the eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
- Current enrollment with a planned graduation date in 2028.
- A portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Typescript is appreciated.
- Ability to work independently, seek feedback, and solve complex problems within data-dense interfaces.
