Tech Ops Engineer Intern

About the role#

As a Tech Ops Engineer Intern, you will serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers. This role focuses on the design, construction, and operation of data center facilities. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to oversee project disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural systems. This is a hands-on, field-based position requiring independent contribution and effective communication with vendors and internal teams.

What you'll do#

• Serve as a technical resource for data center operations.
• Oversee and review project disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural systems.
• Identify areas for improvement based on data provided by various teams.
• Design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and team members to ensure project success.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field.
• Enrollment in an academic program physically located in the United States.
• Knowledge of Power Systems, Fluid Dynamics, or Thermodynamics.
• Experience using web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to commit to a 12-week, full-time internship working 40 hours per week.
