About the role#
Ancestry is seeking a Product Design Co-op to join the International Growth team. This role focuses on shaping the user experience for priority growth markets by adapting product features to meet local needs and cultural nuances. You will work within the Graduate Co-op Program for a six-month, part-time engagement.
What you'll do#
- Partner with International Product, Marketing, Consumer Insights, and Engineering teams to define UX/UI strategy for growth markets.
- Lead the design of product experiments by translating customer insights and market data into localized offerings.
- Create wireframes, rapid prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for A/B tests and feature rollouts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the execution of pilots and releases.
- Use qualitative user research and quantitative metrics to validate design decisions and evolve the international user experience.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master of Design, MFA, or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field. Candidates from Business or Communications programs with relevant UX/product design experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Prior internship or industry experience in UX/UI design is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience designing for rapid product experiments, A/B testing, and growth optimization.
- High proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools, such as Figma.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
