About the role#
The Minnesota Historical Society is looking for a Marketing & Communications Intern to support the Integrated Marketing Department. This role offers the chance to learn from experienced marketing professionals while promoting museum events, exhibits, and historical sites. You will work 12 hours per week on-site in St. Paul during the Winter 2027 term. Interns are required to attend three professional development seminars and prepare a final presentation at the end of the semester.
What you'll do#
- Track media coverage related to the organization.
- Coordinate on-site media interviews when needed.
- Write content for media alerts and various marketing materials.
- Develop and execute social media ideas.
- Update the website, including managing calendar events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- A degree or current studies in Public Relations, Marketing, or Journalism.
- 1-3 years of classroom experience in these fields.
- A basic understanding of marketing principles.

- Compensation: $17.02 per hour.
