About the role#
The Minnesota Historical Society is hiring a Marketing & Communications Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a paid, part-time position based on-site in St. Paul. You will work 12 hours per week between January 19 and May 23, 2027. The schedule is flexible to accommodate your classes. You will also participate in three professional development seminars and give a final presentation at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Track media coverage of the organization.
- Help write media alerts and various marketing materials.
- Assist with on-site coordination for media interviews.
- Develop and execute ideas for social media.
- Update the website, including managing calendar events.
- Learn from experienced marketing professionals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- A background in Public Relations, Marketing, or Journalism.
- 1-3 years of classroom experience in these fields.
- A basic understanding of marketing principles.
