About the role#
New York Life offers a 10-week summer internship for students interested in communications, marketing, and corporate responsibility. You will work in a professional environment, participate in learning and development activities, and build your network with peers and senior leaders. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
Interns help share the company story through various projects. You will be aligned to a specific team based on business needs and your interests. Your work may include:
- Contributing to communications for internal and external messaging, content development, and storytelling.
- Assisting with marketing campaigns and sponsorship activities, including research, planning, logistics, and reporting.
- Supporting community engagement and corporate responsibility efforts through event coordination, outreach, and volunteer programming.
- Using analytics and insights tools to measure performance and identify opportunities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on projects to enhance visibility and engagement.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment at an accredited 4-year university or college with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2030.
- Demonstrated leadership or meaningful contributions in campus or community extracurricular activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building effective relationships.
- An innovative mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- An interest in marketing, communications, journalism, corporate responsibility, or related fields.
Location & details#
- Locations: New York, NY; White Plains, NY; or Jersey City, NJ.
- Work modality: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office.
- Term: Summer 2027, from June 1, 2027, to August 5, 2027.
- Sponsorship: This program does not offer employment-based immigration sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without OPT or CPT.
