About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time summer internship program based in Batavia, Illinois. You will work 40 hours per week, shadowing district managers to learn how they run multi-million dollar business operations. Successful completion of this program may lead to a full-time opportunity after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Shadow a store manager or manager trainee to learn the fundamentals of store operations.
- Assist your trainer with administrative tasks like payroll, sales books, memo verification, and invoices.
- Participate in hiring processes, including conducting interviews and orientations.
- Help manage inventory and assist during store resets or grand openings.
- Conduct customer walks and store tours to learn about store operations policies.
- Prepare a formal report and presentation on an operational area to deliver to ALDI executives.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized, multi-task, and prioritize work under strict deadlines.
- A professional approach to attendance and meeting objectives.
