About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time summer internship program based in Loxley, Alabama. You will work alongside district managers to learn how to run multi-million dollar retail businesses. Successful completion of the program may lead to full-time employment opportunities after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Shadow a store manager or manager trainee to learn the fundamentals of daily store operations.
- Prepare a formal report and presentation on an operational area for ALDI executives.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as payroll, invoices, and sales book management.
- Participate in the hiring process, including conducting interviews and leading orientations.
- Help with inventory management, store resets, and grand openings.
- Attend team meetings and company training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport, trust, and open communication with store personnel.
- Skill in prioritizing tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
