About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time summer internship program based in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. You will work 40 hours per week while gaining hands-on experience in retail operations. Successful completion of the program may lead to full-time employment opportunities after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Shadow store managers and manager trainees to learn the fundamentals of store operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including payroll, sales books, memo verification, and processing invoices.
- Participate in the hiring process by assisting with interviews and orientations.
- Support inventory management and assist with store resets and grand openings.
- Conduct customer walks and store tours to learn about customer satisfaction.
- Prepare a formal report and presentation on an operational area for ALDI executives.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Human Resources.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a professional manner.
- Skill in prioritizing work to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
