About the role#
Alcoa is seeking an intern for the Winter 2027 session at the Aluminerie de Bécancour. You will work under the supervision of the process manager and integrate into our technical teams to gain experience in an industrial setting. This is a full-time position involving 40 hours per week on a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday.
What you'll do#
- Perform statistical studies to optimize process parameters.
- Develop and implement experimental plans for new aluminum casting equipment.
- Create reports to track production and quality data.
- Conduct studies on new metal casting products.
- Lead projects focused on reducing production costs and process waste.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects throughout the foundry.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Chemical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering program.
- Strong sense of autonomy.
- A client-focused approach with an emphasis on understanding specific needs.

- Location: Bécancour, Quebec.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Compensation: $28 to $32 per hour.
- Additional notes: Housing assistance of $600 may be available for those relocating. We provide all necessary personal protective equipment and offer access to an on-site cafeteria and medical services.
