About the role#
This internship takes place at the Aluminerie de Bécancour Inc. during the Winter 2027 session. You will work with the technical group to support industrial operations. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Bécancour, Quebec. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during the day.
What you'll do#
- Identify, analyze, and complete projects to optimize production.
- Improve workstation ergonomics.
- Strengthen operational safety.
- Develop skills in continuous improvement, project management, and problem-solving.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Industrial, Mechanical, or Automated Production Engineering program.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership and mobilization skills.
- Strong analytical and participatory problem-solving abilities.
Location & details#
- Location: Bécancour, Quebec.
- Term: January 4 to April 30, 2027.
- Compensation: $28 to $32 per hour.
- Benefits: Personal protective equipment provided, access to an on-site cafeteria and medical services, and a $600 allowance for interns relocating from outside the region. You may also be eligible for the ambassador scholarship program.
