About the role#
This is a three-month training program administered by the Musselwhite Academy. It prepares individuals for work in an underground mining environment. You will receive instruction from experienced professionals and gain hands-on exposure to mining operations. Upon finishing the program, you may be considered for a Mine Trainee position based on your performance and available opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Complete the Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core modules.
- Participate in both theory and practical activities in an underground mining environment.
- Receive ongoing mentorship and support to build your skills.
- Follow safety guidelines set by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Skills Development.
What you'll need#
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You need fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- You should be self-motivated and eager to learn new skills.
- You must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Location & details#
- Location: Musselwhite Mine, Ontario.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 14 days on and 14 days off, with 12-hour shifts.
- Compensation: CAD $25.00 per hour.
