About the role#
AJM Packaging Corporation is hiring an Operations Intern to join our manufacturing team in Southgate, Michigan. This is a full-time, paid, rolling internship designed for students to gain practical experience across various engineering and operational functions within a manufacturing facility.
What you'll do#
You will participate in a hands-on, project-based program focused on machine rebuilds and project engineering. Your daily work will involve:
- Learning and performing all functions related to our engineering operations.
- Shadowing team members to understand facility workflows.
- Performing production line work and machine maintenance.
- Assisting with scheduling tasks.
- Working directly with machinery to identify and implement process improvements.
- Taking ownership of assigned special projects.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
