About the role#
As a Supply Chain Intern at RHI Magnesita, you will gain hands-on experience in the planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory processes that keep a global manufacturing operation running. You will work alongside experienced professionals to analyze data, solve operational challenges, and contribute to projects that improve efficiency and business performance. This role provides exposure to real-world supply chain operations and helps build skills for a future career in the field.
What you'll do#
- Support supply chain initiatives focused on procurement, logistics, planning, inventory optimization, and customer service.
- Analyze inventory, logistics, procurement, and operational performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Assist with inventory tracking, forecasting, and demand planning.
- Collaborate with operations, production, procurement, and logistics teams on cross-functional projects.
- Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate key supply chain metrics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
- Support supplier performance analysis and procurement processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational effectiveness.
- Present project findings and recommendations to supply chain leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAP, or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, or work experiences is preferred.
