About the role#
AJM Packaging Corporation is hiring Engineering Interns for our Detroit facility. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work with our team to learn the engineering operations that support our production of paper products.
What you'll do#
- Learn and perform the daily functions involved in the engineering operation of a manufacturing facility.
- Participate in a project-based program focused on machine rebuilds and project engineering.
- Shadow employees across various departments to understand our processes.
- Perform specific jobs, including production line work, machine maintenance, and scheduling.
- Work directly with machinery and contribute to process improvement efforts.
- Take ownership of special projects assigned by the Director of Manufacturing Technology.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.

- This role is based on-site in Detroit, Michigan.
- This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term.
