About the role#
AJM Packaging Corporation is hiring a Purchasing Intern for our team in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This role offers hands-on experience with supply chain activities while you work alongside our purchasing staff. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Resolve reports of defective goods by working with our plants and vendors to determine product disposition and secure credits.
- Assist with purchase orders and verify order details and pricing with our vendor base.
- Analyze spend data to spot purchasing trends.
- Research potential vendors to find new sources for goods.
- Coordinate with accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.
- Track stock levels and work with vendors to improve turnover rates.
- Support daily department operations and contribute to special projects.
- Collaborate with the team to document and standardize existing purchasing processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master program with a concentration in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
