About the role#
AJM Packaging Corporation is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our team in Taylor, Michigan. This role offers exposure to a wide range of HR activities within a manufacturing environment. You will work on-site and support the team on various projects and daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Maintain paper and digital employee files using the UKG Pro HRIS.
- Assist with the onboarding and off-boarding process, including new hire orientation.
- Support recruitment efforts by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and extending offers.
- Answer basic HR-related questions from employees.
- Shadow department members to assist with projects and deliverables.
- Collaborate with the operations team and communicate with senior management.
- Learn about federal, state, and plant-specific documentation.
- Provide general clerical support to the HR team and handle other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor degree in human resources or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing plant.
