About the role#
This internship position is based at the Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama. You will join our teams to support retrofit engineering, including the design, analysis, and certification of Service Bulletins for cabin and system modifications. You will learn how to integrate components into aircraft and evaluate designs for stress, flammability, and weight compliance.
What you'll do#
- Participate in engineering improvement and innovation projects, including automation and data analytics.
- Generate engineering reports and templates to support current projects.
- Organize engineering data and route documents for review.
- Create weekly status reports to track engineering progress.
- Assist the department with Service Bulletin reviews, engineering support, and project management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited, full-time 4-year engineering degree program or a Master's program.
- Minimum sophomore level standing.
- Preferred majors include Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Entry-level programming skills, such as Python or Apps Script.
- Familiarity with engineering tools like CAD, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
