About the role#
Join AIG as a Summer Intern in the Energy Underwriting department. This 9-week program offers hands-on experience within a global insurance company. You will work alongside specialized underwriters, risk engineers, and claims professionals to develop insurance solutions for complex industries including traditional and renewable energy, power generation, mining, and petrochemicals.
What you'll do#
- Support the evaluation and underwriting of risks across energy-related industries.
- Review underwriting submissions, operational information, financial data, and loss history.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored insurance solutions.
- Build relationships with brokers and clients while supporting new business and renewals.
- Monitor industry, regulatory, and emerging risk trends that impact underwriting decisions.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be received no later than June 2028.
- Preferred majors include Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Availability for the complete program from June 7 through August 6, 2027.
