About the role#
As an Actuarial Summer Intern, you will join our team for a nine-week program designed to provide hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will work alongside experienced actuaries to quantify risk, price insurance products, and support loss reserving. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers exposure to core technical and professional skills through project work, masterclasses, and networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data and apply actuarial techniques to help quantify risk and price insurance products.
- Assist with actuarial models, forecasts, and reports that support business and financial decisions.
- Partner with teams across Finance, Claims, Operations, and Risk Management.
- Monitor trends and evaluate financial data to identify insights and support recommendations.
- Communicate actuarial findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be received no later than June 2028.
- Major in Mathematics or Statistics.
- Availability for the full program from June 7 through August 6, 2027.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position requiring you to work in the office at least four days per week.
- Locations: New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; and Philadelphia, PA.
- Term: Summer 2027.
