    About the role#

    As a Summer Intern in the Human Resources department, you will gain hands-on experience supporting AIG’s global workforce. You will work alongside HR professionals and business partners on projects that help attract, develop, and retain talent. This 9-week program offers exposure to areas such as HR Business Partnering, Compensation, and Talent & Performance Management.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the execution of HR programs, processes, and initiatives.
    • Partner with HR colleagues and business stakeholders to support people priorities.
    • Analyze workforce and HR data to identify insights and support decision-making.
    • Assist with key activities including compensation programs, talent initiatives, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
    • Contribute to HR projects and cross-functional workstreams.
    • Help ensure compliance with company policies, programs, and procedures.
    • Develop skills in project management, communication, and relationship management.

    What you'll need#

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be received no later than June 2028.
    • Availability for the full program from June 7 through August 6, 2027.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to collaborate and manage multiple priorities.
    • Professionalism, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information.
    • Foundational knowledge of or interest in HR practices and employment laws.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an interest in learning HR information systems.
    • Preferred majors include Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Psychology, Finance, or Economics.

    • Location: New York, New York.
    • Modality: On-site, at least four days per week.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Employment: Full-time.
    • Compensation: $25.78 - $34.37 per hour.
