About the role#
This is a part-time student internship at Advocate Health. You will support the People and Culture Workforce Development department by assisting with daily operations, research, and administrative tasks. This role is paid and requires 20 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Visit with patients and families to deliver support services.
- Provide administrative office coverage, including answering phones and maintaining data.
- Prepare documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Support research projects, data analysis, and report creation.
- Handle data entry and filing tasks.
- Communicate with staff and the public through verbal and written channels.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate, master's, or postgraduate program, or a GED equivalent.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing environments.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Physical ability to sit, walk, reach overhead, and lift at least 10 pounds to shoulder height.
- Ability to push patients in wheelchairs or move supplies on rolling carts.
