About the role#
The Finance Summer Internship is an 11-week program based at our Store Support Center in Brentwood, Tennessee. This role provides hands-on experience in corporate finance and helps you understand how financial insights support the operations of a large retail organization. You will work with experienced professionals, gain exposure to various teams, and participate in professional development opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decisions.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and business performance updates.
- Contribute to financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support investment evaluation and capital allocation decisions.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assist with strategic decision-making.
- Assist with monthly preparation and analysis of financial statements and provide support during audits.
- Identify and assess financial risks while recommending mitigation strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn new financial systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize information, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to relocate to the Greater Nashville Area for the duration of the internship.
