About the role#
This is a full-time Doctoral Clinical Psychology Internship based at the Advocate Christ Medical Center Childhood Trauma Treatment Program. You will work 40 hours per week with availability required between Monday and Saturday. This position is paid and offers a hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of 3 days per week on-site.
What you'll do#
- Provide psychological assessments, evaluations, and individual or family therapy.
- Manage your caseload in coordination with the clinical director to ensure appropriate levels of care.
- Establish fees, distribute necessary forms, and build rapport with patients.
- Document clinical progress and maintain patient records according to divisional policies.
- Participate in all phases of the training program, including orientation, external trainings, and specialized clinical sessions.
- Attend all required individual and group supervisions, as well as administrative meetings.
- Deliver prevention workshops and clinical presentations to the public as assigned.
- Support customer service initiatives to promote awareness of the program and assist team members in achieving positive outcomes.
What you'll need#
- An M.A. or M.S. in Psychology.
- At least 3 years of clinical practice experience.
- Enrollment in an internship program approved by a doctoral school of psychology.
- Strong therapeutic and listening skills.
- A proven ability to connect with clients and develop a working rapport.
- Previous experience providing assessment and therapy services.
