About the role#
The Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Intern program provides advanced clinical training in pastoral care and counseling, accredited by the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy. The curriculum consists of approximately 100 hours of seminar time and 300 hours of clinical experience within a 290-bed acute care regional medical center and hospice.
What you'll do#
- Participate in required seminars and clinical training.
- Learn and apply clinical pastoral skills.
- Provide pastoral care and counseling to patients.
- Engage and collaborate with patients and healthcare providers.
- Cooperate with members of the pastoral care department staff.
What you'll need#
- Completion of the Clinical Pastoral Education application prior to scheduling an interview.
- An interest in pursuing pastoral care and counseling.
- A commitment to personal and professional growth.
- Ability to attend all required seminars and fulfill clinical hour requirements.
- Adherence to all application submission guidelines.
- Relevant academic background in fields such as Psychology, Nursing, Philosophy, or Public Health.
