About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in the Lansing area. This is a hands-on, part-time field role focused on community outreach and helping residents explore high-speed internet options. You will receive paid training and ongoing coaching from Mosaic leadership to help you succeed in your territory.
What you'll do#
- Manage an assigned territory by planning routes and using broadband coverage maps to identify potential households.
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to introduce Starlink service and hardware offerings.
- Assist interested customers in getting started using your personal referral code.
- Identify outreach opportunities at community events, local business partnerships, and civic groups.
- Turn positive conversations into referrals and introductions.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the company field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review progress and strategy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a smartphone.
- You must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
- A self-motivated, coachable, and dependable attitude.
- Comfort meeting new people and starting conversations.

- Compensation: This role is paid and includes an hourly rate plus commission for qualified activations. Additional perks include mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and company-provided apparel.
