About the role#
As a Student Business Development Representative, you will represent Starlink in your local area. This role focuses on bringing high-speed internet to rural and underserved communities through direct community engagement. You will receive paid training and ongoing coaching from field sales leaders to help you succeed in building your territory.
What you'll do#
- Own an assigned territory near your campus and plan your daily outreach routes.
- Use broadband coverage maps and territory tools to identify potential households.
- Introduce Starlink services through door-to-door outreach and explain hardware offerings.
- Answer customer questions and assist them with using your personal referral code.
- Identify opportunities to engage the community at farmers markets, local business partnerships, civic groups, and community events.
- Log your daily activity, sales, hours, and mileage in the designated field app.
- Participate in regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review performance and refine your approach.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in school.
- Ability to work 15 to 25 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends.
- A valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle for travel to rural territories.
- A smartphone for field app usage and communication.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- A coachable, self-motivated, and dependable attitude.

- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This position is paid and includes an hourly base rate plus a $200 commission for each qualified activation. Additional perks include mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and company-provided apparel.
