About the role#
The Federal Work-Study Financial Aid Assistant supports the Student Financial Services department. You will assist with student outreach, document management, and administrative projects that help students navigate financial aid requirements.
What you'll do#
- Call students to discuss FAFSA completion requirements and upcoming deadlines.
- Provide account balance reminders to students.
- Refer students to a Student Financial Services Representative for complex issues.
- Upload documents into the Student Financial Planning system.
- Create and maintain trackers, spreadsheets, and reports for management.
What you'll need#
- Eligibility for the Federal Work-Study Program.
- Current enrollment status with satisfactory academic progress.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle sensitive student information with confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: 79 New Montgomery Street, San Francisco, California.
- Work schedule: 5 to 20 hours per week, depending on your class schedule.
- Pay rate: $19.61 per hour.
- Employment term: Rolling, from your starting term through graduation.
