About the role#
The Federal Work Study Office Assistant supports the daily operations of the School of Industrial Design. You will help with administrative tasks, assist students with inquiries, and ensure the department runs smoothly. This role is designed to help you build customer service and administrative skills while you complete your degree.
What you'll do#
- Manage general office tasks like filing, scanning, copying, and updating databases.
- Provide facilities support by checking the building for maintenance needs and restocking supplies.
- Design and print signs and posters for departmental meetings and events.
- Assist the Director and faculty with desk coverage, phone calls, and scheduling.
- Act as the first point of contact for students entering the office to answer questions and provide information.
What you'll need#
- Basic computer skills and experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency in Adobe CC.
- Experience in Graphic Design.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
