About the role#
The Federal Work Study Photo Lab Assistant supports the daily operations of the photography lab at the Academy of Art University. This role helps students and faculty manage equipment and ensures the lab remains a functional space for learning. You will gain experience in customer service and administrative tasks while working with photography equipment.
What you'll do#
- Check students in and out of the lab.
- Manage the check-in and check-out of equipment for students and faculty.
- Help students learn how to use lab equipment.
- Monitor the lab to ensure everyone follows department policies.
- Perform maintenance on lab equipment.
- Complete general administrative tasks for the department.
What you'll need#
- Basic computer skills.
- Proficiency with Adobe CC.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
Location & details#
- Location: 625 Sutter, San Francisco, California.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week. Availability on Thursday is preferred.
- Eligibility: This position is open to students eligible for Federal Work Study. Your work schedule cannot conflict with your class schedule.
