About the role#
The Imperial County Clinical Research Network (ICCRN) is building the infrastructure for clinical research within rural Imperial County. As a Research Assistant II, you will support the ICCRN Research Manager and the broader team with infrastructure and protocol development. This role offers exposure to clinical research methods and the daily operations of a research network site.
What you'll do#
- Write, edit, and proofread research documents, including protocols, manuals, and administrative reports.
- Adapt written content to create standardized health-related research resources.
- Create forms and simple surveys to gather information.
- Maintain tracking systems for ICCRN progress and activities.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of annual NIH progress reports and compliance documentation.
- Participate in ICCRN meetings and support evaluation activities.
- Manage data quality control and prepare research data for submission to approved repositories.
- Respond to inquiries and maintain routine communication with your supervisor.
- Learn new software applications as required to complete assignments.
- Ensure all work complies with SDSURF policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at SDSU.
- Completion of sufficient lower division coursework, or one year of related experience.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and Google Suite.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft, edit, and format professional documents.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Residency in California within a commutable distance from the SDSU campus.

- Pay: $18.50 per hour.
