About the role#
AbCellera is looking for an IT Helpdesk Intern to join our team for an 8-month co-op term. This role begins in January 2027. You will support our internal IT operations and gain experience with real-world technical projects in a biotechnology research environment.
What you'll do#
- Track and respond to incoming requests for IT technical support via email, our ticketing system, or in person.
- Configure new computers for new hires and existing employees, including OS installation and profile deployment.
- Manage user accounts and software subscriptions.
- Maintain accurate IT inventory lists.
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, including diagnosing hardware and software failures.
- Manage office hardware such as printers and scanners.
- Assist senior IT staff with ad hoc projects.
What you'll need#
- At least 2 years of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows or MacOS computers.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

- Compensation: CAD $3,300-$4,300 per month.
