    About the role#

    AbCellera is hiring a Scientific Intern for a 12-month term starting in January 2027. This role is based in Vancouver and offers the chance to contribute to the advancement of antibody-based medicines. You will work alongside scientific teams and receive mentorship while gaining experience with real-world projects from target to clinic.

    What you'll do#

    • Support high-throughput screening workflows, including cell isolate preparation and enrichment protocols.
    • Develop and perform complex functional assays and maintain cell stocks.
    • Assist with DNA cloning, library production, protein purification, and conjugation workflows.
    • Support pharmacokinetic (PK) or in vivo disease model studies using various lab techniques.
    • Operate analytical instruments such as UPLC, UV-VIS, plate readers, liquid handlers, and pH meters.
    • Support analytical or microbiology laboratory activities, including environmental and utility monitoring.
    • Prepare, label, and aliquot common lab reagents and bulk media.
    • Maintain and implement standard operating procedures and perform lab organization tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field.
    • Previous experience working in a wet lab environment.
    • Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Impeccable attention to detail.
    • Ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and learn quickly.

    • Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Term: 12 months, starting January 2027.
    • Compensation: Paid position.
    • Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
