About the role#
The Operations Development Program Internship is a paid, 11-week summer program designed for undergraduate students to build technical, operational, and leadership skills. Interns work on projects that support AbbVie Operations, gaining exposure to real business challenges while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This internship serves as a primary pipeline for the full-time Operations Development Program, a three-year rotational program for future leaders.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data to support business objectives.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver project updates.
- Collaborate with site and functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, and quality departments.
- Present recommendations to business stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Enrollment in a university for the semester following the internship.
- Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities or projects.
- Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to evaluate alternatives and make sound decisions.
- Willingness to relocate, as mobility is a key requirement for the Operations Development Program.
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
