About the role#
The Operations Development Program Internship is a paid, 11-week summer program designed for undergraduate students to build technical, operational, and leadership skills. Interns contribute to meaningful projects across AbbVie Operations, gaining exposure to business challenges and cross-functional collaboration. This internship serves as a potential pipeline to the full-time Operations Development Program, a three-year rotational program for future leaders.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Support process improvement initiatives within manufacturing and quality systems.
- Prepare and deliver project updates to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with site and functional teams to support operational goals.
- Present recommendations based on project findings.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Must be enrolled in a university for the semester following the internship.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through extracurricular activities or projects.
- Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to evaluate information and make sound decisions in a team-based environment.
- Willingness to relocate, as mobility is a requirement for the subsequent Operations Development Program.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
