About the role#
This paid, six-month co-op program offers the opportunity to work within the Global Packaging organization. You will engage in meaningful assignments across various packaging formats and materials, contributing to projects that impact the business and patients. The role involves a mix of laboratory work and manufacturing plant activities, supported by developmental and networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Perform packaging development and testing for new projects.
- Execute test protocols.
- Identify and select materials, and define specifications.
- Mine data to identify standardization opportunities.
- Explore sustainability and packaging improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and conduct experiments both independently and as part of a team in laboratory and manufacturing environments.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Packaging, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must be returning to university the semester following the co-op.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong academic performance.
- Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills.
Location & details#
- Location: North Chicago, Illinois.
- Term: July to December 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site at the North Chicago campus (minimum three days per week).
- Employment Type: Full-time.
