About the role#
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will help protect systems, data, and applications across our focus areas of Cybersecurity, Security Operations Center (SOC), Identity Access Management (IAM), and Application Security. This is an 11-week internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in pharmaceutical technology.
What you'll do#
Your specific responsibilities will depend on your team placement. You may:
- Monitor security alerts, perform initial triage of events, and escalate threats to senior analysts.
- Assist with vulnerability scanning, remediation, and application vulnerability assessments.
- Support security awareness initiatives and document security issues.
- Maintain logs, incident records, and threat analysis documentation.
- Process access requests, account provisioning, and run access reviews or audits.
- Support password management, authentication troubleshooting, and account permission documentation.
- Conduct secure code reviews and testing, while learning secure API design.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or AI with a minor or concentration in Cybersecurity. Relevant professional or extracurricular experience may substitute for the minor.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Must be enrolled in university the semester following the internship and graduate within one year after completion.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Experience with Python scripting and automation tools like SOAR or Ansible.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, ports, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Ability to read and assess code in JavaScript, Java, or C#.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud security concepts across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Strong analytical skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to solve problems creatively.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
- The primary location is North Chicago, Illinois, though placements may occur at other U.S. locations based on business needs.
- We do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
