About the role#
As a Cloud Engineering intern, you will work with business and IT teams to support, design, and deliver technical solutions. This position focuses on keeping our business platforms running and evolving throughout the summer. You will gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry by contributing to projects that improve platform performance and reliability.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents to ensure platforms remain stable.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver system enhancements and integrations.
- Improve platform scalability and reliability.
- Track project milestones, coordinate with teams, and support on-time delivery.
- Maintain technical documentation and support testing and deployment activities.
- Follow IT governance requirements and assess risk.
- Support cybersecurity and data protection efforts alongside business and technical teams.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI, or a related major.
- Must have a minor or concentration in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or AI.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Must be enrolled in university the semester following the internship and graduate within one year post-internship.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
- Knowledge of architecture and how technical structures fit together.
- Experience with low-code platforms like Pega or OutSystems.
- Ability to troubleshoot or configure platforms such as ServiceNow, UKG Pro WFM, or Workday.
- Experience with XML, XSLT, WebServices, and Dell Boomi.
- Previous internship or related professional experience.
- Strong analytical skills, technical insight, and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, and initiative.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in North Chicago, Illinois.
- The duration of the internship is 11 weeks.
