    About the role#

    As a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern, you will gain practical experience by working on various engineering projects. You will collaborate with team members to support operations and help identify solutions for clients based on their specific needs. This role is based in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and offers a hybrid work model.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in developing or modifying engineering designs, drawings, and calculations.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation and manage version control.
    • Support and lead continuous improvement projects using standard engineering tools.
    • Collaborate with teams to ensure project coordination and timely completion.
    • Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions to share ideas and provide project updates.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
    • Ability to use critical thinking to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
    • Skills to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
    • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

    • Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Status: Full-time internship.
    • Compensation: $20 to $34 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
