About the role#
We are looking for a Process & Mechanical Engineer Co-op or Intern to join our team in Rochester. You will work alongside our engineering, design, trades, and project management departments. This role involves supporting client-facing projects across the industries we serve, including energy, chemicals, and advanced manufacturing. You will be paired with a senior or principal engineer mentor to help define and achieve your professional development goals.
What you'll do#
- Support requirements gathering, concept and preliminary designs, and PFD/P&ID development.
- Develop drawings and schematics using CAD tools and process simulation software.
- Create bills of materials (BOM) and conduct materials selection.
- Support the development of technical reports and project documentation.
- Participate in internal and client project meetings, as well as design reviews.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience with CAD software, specifically AutoCAD 2D/3D or SolidWorks.
- Experience with process simulation tools, preferably ChemCAD.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.

- Compensation: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour.
