About the role#
We are looking for an intern who enjoys combining engineering theory with hands-on manufacturing work. You will spend your time on the production floor building, testing, and troubleshooting alongside our technicians and operators. This role is suited for someone who has completed or is nearing completion of a technical degree and wants to improve how products are built.
What you'll do#
- Perform hands-on assembly of components, subassemblies, and systems with our manufacturing and production teams.
- Fit, adjust, and test hardware to ensure it meets specifications.
- Troubleshoot assembly and production issues alongside technicians and operators.
- Support manufacturing improvements by observing processes, gathering data, and helping implement corrective actions.
- Conduct timing studies to evaluate cycle times and identify improvement opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Completion or near-completion of a two- or four-year technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in an assembly, production, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with hand tools, mechanical assembly, or general shop-floor work.
- Ability to apply structured problem-solving to manufacturing challenges.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of a hands-on role, including extended standing, bending, stooping, and lifting.
