About the role#
As an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern, you will work within the EHS department to support the implementation of safety programs. You will report directly to the EHS Manager in Quebec and collaborate closely with the Infrastructure department. This role involves spending significant time in production and administrative areas to help internal teams develop best safety practices. We are looking for someone who is organized, independent, and motivated to improve workplace safety through problem-solving and collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Support departments in implementing the EHS program and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify hazards and risks.
- Participate in the task safety analysis process.
- Compile and report health and safety data.
- Assist with the management of chemical products.
- Support employees with ergonomic-related issues.
- Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and staff to identify and implement corrective measures.
- Develop and distribute communications on EHS-related topics.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 2 years in a university program in health and safety, industrial relations, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering, or a related technical program.
- Excellent command of French and English.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow an action plan and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A client-focused work approach and a flexible attitude toward new assignments.
- Skills in industrial hygiene or ergonomics are an asset.
