About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You will work on-site to support our engineering teams, gain practical experience, and contribute to manufacturing operations. Please note that this role does not include relocation assistance or a stipend. You must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office and manage your own transportation.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering teams with hands-on projects to improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and production efficiency.
- Design and develop assembly fixtures, tooling, and rubber molding devices.
- Assist in the design and development of electrical test equipment and apparatus for high-voltage production testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical challenges and implement process improvements.
- Document designs, track test results, and present project outcomes to engineering and operations staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program for Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Process, or Chemical Engineering at an accredited U.S. institution.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Creo, SolidWorks, or other parametric 3D solid modeling software is preferred.
- Experience with robotics systems, particularly ABB robotics, is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $20 to $34 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and graduation year.
- Note: Internships are not eligible for company-sponsored medical benefits, 401(k) contributions, or paid time off.
