About the role#
As an Application Engineering Intern, you will gain practical experience by working on various projects across our automation operations. You will support our teams while developing your own technical skills. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with teams to support daily operations and meet project timelines.
- Identify solutions for clients based on specific customer needs.
- Assist in the development and testing of automation software.
- Help with the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
- Create technical sales demonstrations and support the development of user manuals.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project updates.
- Manage department equipment and participate in product inventories.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Seek feedback from managers and team members to improve your performance.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Ability to analyze complex situations using critical thinking.
- Skill in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
Location & details#
- Locations: Alpharetta, GA; Lombard, IL; Chicago, IL.
- Modality: On-site or hybrid.
- Compensation: $20 to $34 per hour.
- Requirements: Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. No relocation assistance or stipend is provided.
