Boston Scientific Internships: 2027 Guide

Boston Scientific internships on Intern Insider are mostly Summer 2027 roles in Minnesota, plus a few co-ops and a Summer 2028 finance internship. When this guide was written, the Boston Scientific company page listed 29 open internships, and 21 of them were new this week. This guide links 24. Eighteen of those 24 are marked Summer 2027 only.

Three listing pages showed the role as closed: a marketing analytics internship in Maple Grove and two finance co-ops in Marlborough. Two graduate clinical research listings require a completed bachelor's degree, so they are not linked either. Older research and development engineering, manufacturing, software development, and urology field sales pages returned 404. Another research data science page that still appears in search results showed the role as closed. Terms and eligibility below are as listed on Intern Insider, except where a sentence names the Boston Scientific students page. The posting you apply through is the final word on its own terms.

What Boston Scientific internships look like in 2027#

The company page describes Boston Scientific as a public medical equipment manufacturer headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts, with company size listed as 10,001+ employees and an employee count of 54,907. The about text says the company manufactures medical devices for patients globally, including tools for cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological conditions.

The students and early careers page describes summer internships as hands-on project work and calls the intern program the primary pathway into other early-career programs. It says co-ops last between four and six months, include academic credit through your university, and run through the year based on your school term. It also describes two-year rotational programs for new graduates. Those rotational programs are not internship listings, and this guide does not link them.

Most of the linked Summer 2027 internships are paid, on-site, and 12 weeks, with a start of May 17 or May 24, 2027. The company page groups all 29 like this:

Some postings name a second site. The medical equipment manufacturing internships page listed 373 open roles on that same read, and the Summer 2027 internships page listed 19,693.

Software and research listings#

Six Arden Hills listings are software design, testing, or solutions engineering. All six are in the shared Summer 2027 pattern above, and none offers visa sponsorship.

Two research and development software design internships sit with the Active Implantable Systems group. The title shortens research and development to R&D. The first listing and the second listing ask for a rising junior or rising senior in computer science or computer engineering, plus Java. One states five days a week on site.

Two testing listings ask you to be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or software engineering, with graduation between December 2027 and May 2028. The first says on-site. The second says on-site at least four days a week.

Two solutions engineering listings use a title that starts with the short form for artificial intelligence. The first and the second ask for enrollment in a bachelor's or higher program in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering, graduation between December 2027 and May 2029, Python, and hands-on work with generative and agentic systems. Both are on-site five days a week. One says the role is safety-sensitive and requires a prohibited substance test.

The technical communications and project management intern listing is also Arden Hills, on the same 12-week Summer 2027 dates. It asks for a bachelor's or master's program in technical writing, communications, or a related field, with graduation between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028. It does not state a sponsorship line.

Two research data science listings share those Summer 2027 dates and ask for a master's or doctoral program in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, data science, neuroscience, or mathematics, graduation between December 2027 and May 2029, and at least one semester of school left afterward. Neither offers visa sponsorship. The St. Paul listing names the city. The other listing does not name a city, and the company page groups it under United States. That second listing is safety-sensitive.

Engineering and packaging#

Two R&D leads listings in Arden Hills follow the shared Summer 2027 pattern and add five days a week on site. The first and the second ask for rising senior status, a bachelor's or master's program in mechanical or biomedical engineering, graduation between December 2027 and May 2029, and computer-aided design experience such as SolidWorks. You must be able to work in the United States without company sponsorship. One is safety-sensitive.

Two industrial engineer intern listings in Maple Grove, including the second, use the same dates and five on-site days. They ask for a rising junior or senior in industrial engineering or industrial and systems engineering, the same December 2027 to May 2029 window, Excel, and Kaizen methods. Sponsorship is not available. One is safety-sensitive.

Two packaging co-ops ask for current enrollment in a bachelor of science program in packaging, graduation between December 2027 and May 2030, and eight months. That is longer than the four to six months on the students page. The Arden Hills and Maple Grove co-op is marked Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 and starts in May 2027. The St. Paul co-op is marked Fall 2027 and runs from May 17 or May 24, 2027, through December 17, 2027. Both are paid, on-site, and safety-sensitive, and both require United States work eligibility without company sponsorship.

Supply chain#

Three Maple Grove listings are paid, on-site, Summer 2027, and 12 weeks from May 17 or May 24, 2027, with no visa sponsorship. One supply chain material management listing asks for a rising junior or senior pursuing supply chain and operations management or a related field, graduation between December 2027 and May 2029, and five days a week. The other asks for rising junior or rising senior status in that same field and does not state a graduation window. The global supply chain intern listing asks you to be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations, with graduation between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.

Marketing internships#

Two marketing internships are for students in a master of business administration program. The title shortens that degree to MBA. Both the first listing and the second listing are Summer 2027 and hybrid, at least three days a week, in Arden Hills and Maple Grove. They ask for graduation between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028, work in product or brand management or marketing strategy across six business units, and United States work eligibility without company sponsorship. Finance co-ops and the 2028 internship#

Two finance automation co-ops are marked Winter 2027. The first and the second are paid and hybrid, at least three days a week at 300 Boston Scientific Way in Marlborough. They start January 11, 2027, and ask for at least six months. They ask you to be pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, business, business analytics, information systems, or data analytics, with graduation in December 2027 or May 2028. Sponsorship is not available.

Two listings pair a Finance and Accounting Emerging Leaders Program summit with a Summer 2028 finance internship. The summit is August 4 and 5, 2027, in Marlborough. Both say the summit is unpaid and that you arrange your own transportation. The internship is paid, 12 weeks, May through August, hybrid at least three days a week, in Maple Grove or Marlborough. Both ask you to be pursuing a degree in accounting or finance, with a 2029 graduation date and work eligibility without company sponsorship. One is marked Summer 2028. The other is marked Summer 2027 and Summer 2028, and the description still covers the summit plus the Summer 2028 internship.

Who can apply#

Twenty-three of the 24 linked listings say sponsorship is not available, or that you must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship. The technical communications listing does not state that line. The visa sponsorship internships page listed 207 open roles at other employers.

Two graduate clinical insights research intern listings in Maple Grove remain on the company page. Each requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and current enrollment in a master's or doctoral program in clinical informatics, epidemiology, data science, or biostatistics. The company page marks both as rolling and hybrid. Because they require a completed bachelor's degree, this guide does not link them.

Six linked listings say the role is safety-sensitive and requires a prohibited substance test: one solutions engineering listing, one leads listing, both packaging co-ops, one industrial listing, and the data science listing that does not name a city. Most listings also ask for reliable transportation.

When and how to apply#

None of the 24 linked listings states an employer deadline. Each shows an Intern Insider recommended window, labeled as the day the role is best applied by. The note on the page says no official deadline is listed.

Eleven linked listings show 1 November 2026. Three show 3 November 2026. Four show 4 November 2026. The two finance automation co-ops show 6 November 2026. One MBA marketing listing shows 8 November 2026. Three linked listings show a recommended window that has already arrived. Those dates are not printed here. All three were still marked as actively hiring.

Each linked posting has an Apply Now button. The students page tells you to create a profile and search openings. The listings do not describe interview steps. Pay#

All 24 linked listings are marked as paid. None states an hourly rate or a salary figure. On the two emerging leaders listings, the August 2027 summit is unpaid and the Summer 2028 internship is paid.
