About the role#
Ziegler Caterpillar is looking for an Intern Technician to join our team in St. Cloud. This role provides hands-on experience in a shop environment, where you will work alongside senior technicians to develop your mechanical skills. You will receive mentorship as you gain exposure to the agriculture, construction, and mining industries.
What you'll do#
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines and equipment.
- Learn to respond to customer needs in a supportive and timely manner.
- Work in a shop environment while maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2-year degree program for diesel engine, construction, or agricultural equipment mechanics.
- Good academic standing and positive recommendations from your instructors.
- A positive attitude and a desire to work as part of a team.
- Your own set of mechanic tools.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting up to 60 lbs and performing tasks like kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to pass a drug test, as this is a safety-sensitive position.
Location & details#
- Location: St. Cloud, Minnesota.
- Type: Part-time, on-site, rolling term.
- Compensation: Starting wage of $21.00 per hour.
