About the role#
This is a paid internship for Master's level students in social services. You will work within our community-based programs to gain hands-on clinical experience. We coordinate with your academic program to ensure the placement meets your practicum requirements and supports your course credit. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, as it follows the availability of the families we serve.
What you'll do#
- Shadow counselors during home and community-based family sessions.
- Carry a reduced caseload and implement specific interventions.
- Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions.
- Use evidence-based practices in your clinical work.
- Attend three weekly meetings focused on individual, team, and clinical consultation.
- Access clinical trainings to enhance your professional skills.
- Provide transport to various locations as needed.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in an electronic medical record system.
What you'll need#
- You are actively pursuing a Master’s degree in a social services discipline, such as psychology, criminal justice, or sociology.
- A current, valid driver’s license.
- An automobile for work purposes.
- Proof of auto insurance.
