About the role#
Young Life Military offers a long-term internship for those who want to serve and grow in their faith. You will work alongside an experienced staff member at a U.S. military installation. This role focuses on building relationships with military teens, creating a community where they can connect, and modeling a life of faith. You will be part of Club Beyond, an outreach-oriented ministry that serves middle and high school students.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to review ministry goals and training tools.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond clubs and small group ministry.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on the installation and participate in volunteer leader meetings.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to discuss their involvement and progress.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse team.
- Assist with community outreach to reach teens and provide discipleship.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss financial support raising with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least two years prior to the start date.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- A teachable heart and strong initiative.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Willingness to raise a portion of your budget through personal support.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Energy and skills in planning small events.
- Ability to respect and embrace military culture.

- Employment: Full-time.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Participants are responsible for raising their own salary, ranging from $1,160 to $4,000 depending on the location and duration of the term.
