About the role#
Young Life Military offers an internship for those interested in youth ministry leadership. You will work alongside an experienced staff member at a military installation. This role focuses on building relationships with teens, modeling a life of faith, and creating a community where students find support and purpose. You will participate in activities like clubs, camps, and Bible studies while learning to manage a ministry program.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to track progress and receive training.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond ministry activities and small groups.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan for your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel services and volunteer leader meetings.
- Recruit and train new volunteers to build a local leadership team.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to support their involvement.
- Assist with community outreach efforts and discipleship for teens.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss financial support strategies with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least 2 years prior to the start date.
- A deep love for Christ and a desire to work with teens.
- Strong initiative and an energetic approach to ministry.
- Ability to communicate clearly and a teachable attitude.
- Experience or skills in planning small events.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal financial support.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The program operates on a rolling basis.
