    About the role#

    This is a 6-month full-time fellowship focused on organizing residents within manufactured home communities. You will work to build shared power and leadership across diverse groups. The role involves significant field work, including evening and weekend meetings to ensure you are available when residents are. You will report to a lead organizer and participate in weekly development sessions to refine your organizing skills.

    What you'll do#

    • Run a petition drive to gather support for the Manufactured Home Residents Bill of Rights.
    • Host community conversations, such as info sessions, candidate forums, and engagement events.
    • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to build relationships with residents and identify potential leaders.
    • Develop, lead, and coach teams of resident leaders to advance community campaigns.
    • Facilitate strategy meetings and training sessions for resident leaders.

    What you'll need#

    • Demonstrated grit and the ability to persevere through challenging work.
    • A self-starter mindset with the ability to set goals independently.
    • Experience working with diverse faith communities, racial groups, and stakeholders.
    • Proficiency with technology including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and WhatsApp.
    • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable car.
    • Relevant coursework in fields such as Political Science, Sociology, Communications, Public Health, or Human Resources is helpful.

    Location & details#

    • This position is based in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
    • This is an on-site, full-time role.
    • Compensation is based on an annual salary of $55,000.
    • Benefits include paid holidays, sick time, a floating paid holiday, and cell phone reimbursement.
